French

Mullaloo Beach Primary School has been running a successful French program for many years.  All classes from year 1 to 6 are given a lesson per week, each lasting one hour.

Since 2017,  the new Western Australian Curriculum has been implemented by the school to enable all students to communicate proficiently in French by providing them with the essential skills in that language, an intercultural capability, and an understanding of the role of language and culture in human communication.

Our program mainly focuses on language proficiency but also gives students the opportunity to develop an understanding and appreciation for the traditional French culture and 28 existing francophone countries.

The highlight of the year is the French Assembly whereby students have the opportunity to express their creativity and talents in French.

Mullaloo Beach students are also encouraged to participate in State Language competitions where they always perform extremely well.
